Since 2019
Architectural design and BIM at Studio Rigoldi, Milan — residential projects and apartment renovations from concept to construction documentation, plus the studio's BIM Cloud and server.
Ardit Tashi — architect and BIM specialist, Milan.
I am passionate about crafting spaces that evoke emotion and engage every sense: the interplay between carefully chosen materials, the way light moves through a room, and the shadows it leaves behind.
I believe the happiness and well-being of the people who use a space is the most important outcome of good design. A building can be photogenic and still be a poor place to live. My work is aimed at the other thing — environments that look considered and feel comfortable to be inside.
I learn quickly and I like problems that do not have an obvious answer. Ten years across offices in Rome, Milan and London have taught me to work inside a team, hold a deadline, and take a brief the whole way to a delivered thing.

Charcoal portraits, digital art and photography — and a set of web products I design and build end to end.
How I work
Ten years of charcoal portraits turned out to be training for architecture rather than a distraction from it. Drawing a face teaches you to look for a long time before committing a line — which is the same discipline a plan needs.
The model comes after. I work in ArchiCAD day to day and coordinate BIM for the practices I have worked in, because a coordinated model is what makes a drawing set trustworthy. Renders in Twinmotion and Corona, modelling in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper when the geometry asks for it.
What I try to avoid is the model becoming the design. Software will happily produce something plausible and empty. The part that matters — where light falls, how a threshold feels, what a person does when they walk in — is decided before any of it is drawn.
I've written that out at more length in drawing before modelling; the other notes are in the blog.

Beyond architecture
Alongside architectural practice I design and build web products end to end — interface, backend and infrastructure. Among them Letturia, Debuto, QR Code Harbor, Teach Me Chess and Smart Money API.

Temporary — choosing an identity
Redrawn as vectors from the three sheets. The mark, the wordmark and the tagline are separate parts, so any mark can be paired with any setting. Use the Logo switch in the header to try one across the whole site.
