The Crypto Calculators
Opens the live site in a new tab
Thirty-four free trading calculators: futures PnL, liquidation price, position sizing, DCA, impermanent loss, funding rates, Kelly criterion and crypto tax for six countries. No sign-up, 12 languages.
The arithmetic every leveraged trade needs, done properly and for free: the numbers you should work out before opening a position, not after.
What it does
34 calculators and 36 trading guides in 12 languages: futures PnL and ROI, exact liquidation price, position sizing from your risk tolerance, DCA against lump sum, impermanent loss for liquidity pools, funding-rate costs, leverage, compounding, the Kelly criterion, grid and martingale bot planning, and crypto tax calculators for Italy, the US, the UK, Germany, Canada and Australia. Everything runs in the browser and there is no account. Pro adds saved templates, CSV export and AI analysis; the calculators themselves stay free.
Why I built it
I kept rebuilding the same spreadsheet. Liquidation price in particular is the one number that decides whether a leveraged position survives, and most traders estimate it, so I wanted it worked out properly, in the open, with the guides explaining the formula rather than hiding it.
What I learned
A calculator is a promise of accuracy, and I found out how easily it breaks. When I finally wrote tests for the trading maths, they caught real errors: a forex sizer that sized a gold trade 2,500 times too large, and a risk-of-ruin figure that used the wrong formula. Every fix was checked against a hand derivation. I also learned that more pages are not more value: an automated news pipeline once grew the site to tens of thousands of pages and got it cancelled by its host, and later cost it an AdSense approval for thin content. I pruned the site back to the calculators and guides people actually use.
